“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.”
As Christians, we worship a God who makes the claim to be unique. He is not one among many gods; He is the one true God. All of creation will one day willingly bow the knee and worship the great Creator God.
So, who is this One to whom we will all one day pay a solemn homage? He is the One who sent His Son to earth, humbling Him to live among His creation. This Son, Jesus Christ, truly was “born to die,” to give His life as a covering for the sins of each of us. Because we each owe a high debt for the pain we have caused to our Creator, we must rely on the finished work of Jesus Christ.
After the humiliation of Jesus, willingly suffering the death of a criminal and slave, we see that every tongue of every language of every nation and people group around the world will one day recognize in praise the kingdom of our Redeemer.
Matthew 28:18 tells us that all power has been given to this One who submitted to His heavenly Father’s will. Jesus Christ sits beside the throne of God in the position of greatest exaltation in the universe.
We encourage each one to accept the reign of Jesus Christ as ruler of his own life. Since God has decreed that each knee will one day bow to Him, why not bow in humble submission today to the one unique ruler?
Pastor Walter, Mr. Fry, or any of our staff members would be eager to speak with you about our personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We serve a great Creator and look forward to sharing His message of love and salvation with our students and their families!
